JoyRide Ridgefield will host its second annual “The Joy of Art” Fashion Show Fund-raiser to be held this year on Wednesday, Oct. 14, at 7 p.m. at The Lounsbury House benefitting the Ridgefield Guild of Artists.
JoyRiders will model the season’s new looks. Ridgefield boutique Lucy’s will present the fashions, with hair and makeup for the models styled by Adam Broderick Salon and Spa. There will be raffles.
“The Ridgefield Guild of Artists is thrilled to be partnering with JoyRide and Lucy’s for this fantastic event. The guild is a non-profit community-based art organization that promotes the visual arts and arts education by providing high quality gallery space for exhibitions, art classes for children and adults, residency programs and on-site lectures,” said executive director of the RGOA, Pamela Stoddart. “We are grateful to be the community art recipient this year. This event will help us work towards our mission of providing more educational afterschool and weekend art programs for the children of Ridgefield and surrounding communities. JoyRide draws from near and far and has been such a strong asset to our community.”
“JoyRide Ridgefield’s mission revolves around health, community and happiness. We are so grateful for The Ridgefield Guild of Artists dedication and involvement in bettering our community,” said JoyRide Ridgefield co-owner Amy Pal. “We first conceptualized this fashion show fueled by our love for the arts. Members of the RGOA are regular JoyRiders, they’ve held a cycling fundraiser this year in our studio and we have supported their Art Walk Ridgefield. It seemed like the natural choice as the next organization to support through The Joy of Art.”
More information on tickets and the details of the event will be released in early September.
