On June 12, Founders Hall did not have to look far for inspiration, creativity, and good company. Members displayed an array of artistry and designs showing a variety of color palettes and use of materials. Artisans displayed handcrafted items and some demonstrated the techniques that ranged from hooked rugs, needlework, clothing, fabrics, tapestries, quilts, pillow making, and afghan blankets. For many, their work touches the lives of others through philanthropic donations to local hospitals, care centers, and local craft shows in order to raise money for various organizations. Founders Hall offers many classes and groups for crafts such as rug hooking, weaving, and needleworking. In addition to tea and dessert, Laurel Ridge Health Care Center, which sponsored this event, offered fresh herbs as a door prize to the members in attendance. Pictured with some of their designs is Marietta Mahoney, Ann Erskine, Ruth Gustafson and Sandra Corday.
