Scott and Cynthia Gramling of Ridgefield have announced the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Elyse, to Alexander Sarnik Pappas, 1st Lt. United States Army. Lt. Pappas is the son of George and Patricia Pappas of Chicago, Ill.
Ms. Gramling is a 2006 graduate of Ridgefield High School and graduated magna cum laude from Loyola University Maryland in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing. She is currently employed with 90octane as a digital media planner in Denver, Colo.
Lt. Pappas is a 2006 graduate of Loyola Academy in Wilmette, Ill., and graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 2010. He is stationed at Fort Carson, Colo., and currently serves as executive officer for Headquarters and Headquarters Troop, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division.
A September wedding is planned at West Point, N.Y.
