Ridgefielder Madeline Brooks, a freshmen at Babson, works in the finance division of Onesie Clothing Co., started through the Foundations of Management and Entrepreneurship course.
In the course, groups of 20 freshmen are given $3,000 to create a business.
The Onesie Clothing Co. sells adult-sized onesies in animal print styles, as well as customized Babson styles. The product is described as “an alternative way of wearing sweatshirts and sweatpants during the cold winters experienced in the Northeast.”
The team members of Onesie Clothing Co. had to learn how to deal with suppliers, manage supply and demand of the product, and sell to as many potential customers as possible. The team expects to give a large donation to charity when the business wraps up at the end of April.
