Tommy Purcell and Jennifer O’Shea
David and Karen O’Shea of Ridgefield have announced the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Ann, to Tommy Purcell, son of Michele Relations Cook of Tunkhannock, Pa., and Edward Purcell of Apopka, Fla.
Ms. O’Shea graduated from Ridgefield High School in 2003 and Pace University in 2006 with a bachelor of arts degree and Mercy College in 2012 with a master’s degree in education. She teaches fifth grade at Bronx Preparatory Charter School.
Mr. Purcell graduated from Tunkhannock High School in 2002 and joined the United States Army in 2003. He has completed three tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. He is recruiting future soldiers for the United States Army as a staff sergeant in Mt. Vernon, N.Y.
They live in Mt. Vernon. A 2015 wedding is planned.
