Yes-2-Youth will hold its fourth annual fundraiser Thursday, Feb. 20, from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Community Center.
Yes-2-Youth supports programs and venues that serve the youth of Ridgefield such as The Barn teen center, the Graham Dickinson SPIRIT Skate Park, and Inside Out, a high school improvisational acting group.
Barn/Skate Park Director Linda Caponetti said, “Without the event, we would not be able to provide the services at the levels we currently do…It’s extremely important that, as a community, we reach and serve all our kids.”
The fundraiser will feature performances by Inside Out, acoustic acts by local teens, and a slide show and video by Assistant Barn Director Jeff Bonistalli. A silent auction will include original paintings and prints, jewelry, parks and recreation memberships, a salon treatment, personal training sessions, a Utopias bottle from Boston Beer, dinner and a movie, gift baskets, and more. A cash bar will compliment hors d’oeuvres from The Cutting Board and cupcakes from The Cake Box.
Ttickets are $50/person and can be purchased at the door or in advance at the Ridgefield Recreation Center or Squashes on Main Street. Items or services are needed for the silent auction (contact Ms. Caponetti at youthspd@ridgefieldct.org or 203-431-2777).
To donate directly, send a check payable to Friends of Ridgefield Youth Commission (a tax exempt 501c3) to Ridgefield Youth Commission, Ridgefield Town Hall, 400 Main Street. For more information, contact Ms. Caponetti at 203-431-2755 or youthspd@ridgefieldct.org.
