The Ridgefield Police Department has released a wanted poster for the individual responsible for robbing First Niagara Bank on Friday afternoon.
The poster includes a surveillance photo of the suspect, who is described as a white male in his 20s, approximately 5’8″ to 6 feet tall with red hair and “very blue” eyes, inside the bank on Danbury Road.
According to the poster, the suspect appeared to be wearing rubber gloves during the incident.
The man threatened he had a gun, which he did not show, police said.
In the photo, the man has his hood pulled up over his face and is wearing a hat and dark-colored jacket, confirming earlier descriptions.
After the robbery, the suspect fled on foot before getting into a dark-colored SUV, which may have been a Range Rover.
He made off with $7,000.
