Wednesday, 6 a.m. — In the wake of yesterday’s rain and overnight temperatures that have dropped below freezing, ice has formed on many roads in Ridgefield and the area.
Ridgefield highway crews have been out for a couple hours, treating roads.
Area police and fire departments are reporting icy sections of roads, including Danbury, New Canaan, Easton, and Fairfield.
“It’s pretty slippery out there,” said an ambulance in Wilton at 5:50.
As of 6, the icing has not caused a delay in the opening of school.
