Author Ron Berler will discuss his recently released book Raising the Curve: A Year Inside One of America’s 45,000 Failing Public Schools (Berkley Books, a Penguin imprint) at the Ridgefield Library on Thursday, Jan. 16, at 7 p.m.
The book follows two fifth grade Norwalk girls, their teacher, the school’s literacy specialist, and the principal and the struggles they face trying to lift themselves and their school from the pressures of No Child Left Behind.
Ron Berler’s work has appeared in the New York Times Magazine, Wired, Sports Illustrated, Men’s Journal, and many other publications.
