Contestants are needed on Friday, April 1, at 7 p.m., to compete against First Selectman Rudy Marconi’s Rebels in Keeler Tavern Museum’s Battle of Ridgefield III, a history competition that will feature questions about Ridgefield, Connecticut, and U.S. history. Last year, Marconi’s Rebels ultimately outdid teams whose members included officers from the town’s police department, Ridgebury School’s History Club students, and local history buffs.
The question — superimposed on the museum’s 1780 British portrayal of the Battle of Ridgefield showing then-Patriot General Benedict Arnold fighting on despite his horse being fatally shot — the Keeler Tavern is asking is: Who can unseat Rudy’s Rebels?
Teams may sign up by contacting the Keeler Tavern Museum at info@keelertavernmuseum.org or 203-438-5485.
Cost is $10 per team member; six people maximum per team. Advance registration is preferred, but walk-ins will be accommodated as space permits.
