Recently there have been many posts on Ridgefield social media looking for referrals to businesses that provide services for the home, event or party services, financial, legal or insurance services, trade services such as electrical and plumbing and so much more. Those posts, along with some great ideas and initiative from our Chamber Councils, were the driving force to put together our first annual Love Your Local Business Showcase. This event will be a tremendous resource for the community to learn about companies and services that are available to us right in our own back yards. In addition, support of these businesses is crucial to our community as they support so many of our towns’ philanthropic missions.
The Love Your Local Business Showcase is free for the public to attend and will take place on Thursday Feb. 11, at Ridgefield Parks & Recreation from 4 to 7 p.m. There will be food samplings from Tigers Den, beverages, exciting raffles and music from Sean “Big Daddy” McKee of James Daniel Entertainment.
A sampling of exhibitors includes Fairfield County Bank and Insurance Services, Pinnacle Trips, Ryer & Associates, Patricia’s Presents, Ridgefield Overhead Doors, Crossroads Signs, Sunburst Plumbing and Certa Pro Painters.
