After the Wilton High School’s 51-39 boys basketball win over rival Ridgefield at Wilton High School on Tuesday, Jan. 26 — and trash talking on Facebook among students from both schools before the game — two Ridgefielders and a teenager were arrested on criminal charges.

According to police, a Wilton officer who had been assigned to oversee the event spotted a 2010 Subaru Outback being driven recklessly at a high rate of speed in the school parking lot after the game. The two passengers were yelling profanities out the car window.

When the officer initiated a stop, they observed the odor of “burnt” marijuana coming from the car.

A subsequent inventory of the Subaru revealed small amounts of suspected marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and an amount of a narcotic substance suspected to be Adderall, but not yet confirmed by the state laboratory.

The two adult passengers of the Subaru, Ryan Pratley, 18, of 15 Rochambeau Avenue, and Rex Schwartz, 18, of 69 Scott Ridge Road, were charged with criminal trespass in the first degree.

Schwartz was also charged with possession of less than one-half ounce of marijuana. He and Pratley were taken into custody and released on promises to appear at Norwalk Superior Court on Feb. 4 and 3, respectively.

The 17-year-old, who police said was the driver, was released from the scene to parents and referred to juvenile court. He was charged with possession of less than one-half ounce of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics within 1,500 feet of a school, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
