The January blizzard of 2016 dumped upwards of a foot of snow on Ridgefield and near-record amounts to the states south of us.
Eleven inches was measured in central Ridgefield at 5 a.m., some three hours after the snow stopped falling.
The forecast for today is cold and clear — daybreak revealed a winter wonderland.
Many businesses will either be closed today or will open late. Best to check ahead.
The Press did not receive any notifications of power outages and, with many people heeding the advice to stay inside, police activity was not extraordinary due to the storm.
