Jazzy

At the ROAR Shelter we like to think all our dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens are nearly perfect, but the reality is many have had a difficult start in life.

Once in a while, a nearly perfect dog finds his or her way to us. Such is the case with sweet, sweet Jazzy, a 16-month-old hound/terrier mix, who is large both in stature and in heart.

Jazzy’s first owner was not up to the job of caring for a puppy. Jazzy then went to live with a dog-loving relative whose family included two other large dogs, a cat and several children. Jazzy fit in nicely and continued to grow; soon living space become tight. The family did serious research into finding the best shelter to place Jazzy in and feel comfortable in knowing this shelter would find her a wonderful forever home. They chose ROAR to help them and Jazzy.

With perky ears and smart as a whip, Jazzy has an infectious, permanent smile on her face. Jazzy would make a fabulous addition to an active family.

Jazzy is up to date on routine vaccinations, spayed and micro-chipped. Her adoption fee is $250.

The ROAR Donofrio Family Animal Shelter is located at 45 South Street.

It’s nearly time for ROAR with Laughter 2016, ROAR’s biggest fund-raiser of the year, with Last Comic Standing finalist Dan Naturman on Saturday, Feb. 20, at BMW of Ridgefield. Go to roar-ridgefield.org to buy your tickets, or better yet, reserve a table.
