A concert Friday night, Jan. 22, at The Willows, 920 Oakridge Road in South Salem, is coming together with the help of Gallo restaurant on Grove Street. The Machine, a New York-based Pink Floyd cover band, will be performing in the 200-seat venue as patrons take in the music while eating dinner. The Willows has been closed for the past two years for exterior renovations. Willows owner Phil Pine credits his recent partnership with Raffaele Gallo and Giuseppe Castellano, the owners of the Gallo restaurant in Ridgefield, for helping him pull the whole event together, as Gallo will be providing the food during the concert.
Castellano said that he thinks the menu will be a success because the band is “great” and that he offers only the best “quality” food. The menu will have 10 to 15 items to provide people with a choice and it will also feature vegetarian options.
“I don’t want to make people feel stuck in the menu,” Castellano said when asked why he was providing more than a standard three options.
