America Hurrah opens January 28 at RHS

The Ridgefield High School Visual and Performing Arts Department will stage two acts of Jean-Claude van Itallie’s satirical play America Hurrah. Directed by Sherry Cox, the play examines American views on consumerism, job satisfaction, politics, and war in the 1960s. Eight actors perform multiple roles. They are Sarah Ford, Gabe Gordon, Meredith Karle, Sarah Klotz, Aidan Meachem, Evan Smolin, Amy Stoogenke, and Casey Wishna.

Performances will be in Ridgefield High School’s Black Box Theater, Jan. 28 to 30 and Feb. 5 and 6, at 7:30 p.m. Snow date is Feb. 7 at 2 p.m. All tickets are $10 at the door. Information: rhsperformingarts.info or 203-894-5750.
