Playhouse offers songwriting with Briody

In Songwriting with Kevin Briody, participants can take poetry or thought and learn the elements of songwriting. The Emmy Award-winning musician will teach people how to structure songs, create “hooks,” craft lyrics, manipulate melody, rhythm and harmony, merge words with music, and write toward a genre. The class meets on Wednesdays from 7:30 to 9 p.m. from Jan. 20 to March 14. More information is available at ridgefieldplayhouse.org
