The Boys & Girls Club of Ridgefield has started After Hours Teen Nights, a new initiative to increase outreach to teens. Teen Nights take place on Fridays from 7 to 11 and are open to members and non-members.
So far, the club has hosted four Teen Nights in November and December. More than 100 teens were in attendance. The next Teen Night will be “Fiesta Friday” on Jan. 8.
“Out of all of the events that I have done through my four years of Keystone, there is none of greater importance than the new Teen Night program starting this year, “ said John Balsamo, a senior, Keystone Club president.
“The Ridgefield Prevention Council has been the lead sponsor for our After Hours Teen Nights. The club could not be more thankful for their support. We also appreciate the help from our local businesses, particularly 850 Degrees Wood Fired Pizza and Village Pizza and Pasta, who also help to make these nights possible,” said Mike Flynn, executive director at the club.
Themes for the nights have included Friendsgiving, Open Hoops Night, Fiesta Friday, Karaoke, Trivia Night, and Girls Night Out.
