Mueller earns national certification

Vicki Mueller of Ridgefield was recently awarded the Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA) designation from the Institute of Certified Bankers, a subsidiary of the American Bankers Association, in Washington, D.C.

Mueller is with the Southport-based firm Charter Research & Investment Group Inc. The designation for trust officers is to show fiduciary expertise in wealth management and trust services. The CTFA designation is awarded to individuals who demonstrate excellence in the field of wealth management and trust. To qualify for the CTFA certification, individuals must possess certain levels of experience and education in the trust profession, pass an exam, complete continuing education credits, and agree to abide by a code of ethics.

Mueller recently joined Charter as a relationship manager. Mueller’s career in financial services has spanned more than 25 years starting with Merrill Lynch. In 1993 she joined Charles Schwab and Co. and in 1997 she became a branch manager. In 2005 she began managing the Fairfield branch complex, which included the Fairfield, Madison, and Danbury offices. Mueller has served on the board of directors for the Ridgefield Visiting Nurse Association since 2005 and is involved with various community organizations focused on financial literacy. She is a graduate of Marietta College.

 

Charter Research & Investment Group is an independent, fee-only registered investment advisor company located in Southport. The firm was founded in 1990 by Paula Luciani of Westport, as one of the first woman-owned investment management firms in the state of Connecticut.
