Ridgefield Running Company’s Megan Searfoss has been elected to the Independent Running Retail Association (IRRA) board of directors.
“Megan Searfoss will bring a fresh perspective to the board. She is committed to the running community as an owner of Ridgefield Running Company and has previous work/life experience that illustrates the talent she brings,” said Parker Karnan, executive director of the IRRA.
Searfoss opened Ridgefield Running Company (RRC) in 2014 with co-owner Deb Povinelli. The retail store provides runners and walkers with shoes, apparel, nutrition, training groups, clinics, and programming to help runners reach fitness goals.
“Working with the IRRA has been critical to the success of Ridgefield Running Company. Collaborating with other running specialty stores offers a solid sounding board and provides an opportunity to learn from the best in the business,” said Povinelli. “With Megan joining the board, RRC will be at the forefront of what is happening in the industry, and ultimately provide a better store for our clients.”
