If you’re interested in learning about Swedish weaving, or Huck embroidery, a class is starting on Tuesday, Dec. 15, from 2 to 4 in Ridgefield. Deborah Katchko-Gray has been making prayer shawls, challah covers and placemats using Swedish weaving with many private students creating prayer shawls over the last 15 years.
Materials for learning are provided at the first group lesson. The class will include group and private lessons. Those interested may email cantordebbie@gmail.com.
Her new book, Jewish Huck Embroidery, is available on Amazon or at Temple Shearith Israel.
