The parent organization at Ridgebury School held a silent auction fund-raiser to benefit the school.
The fire department donated a Ride to School in a fire engine as one of the auction items.
“On Tuesday, June 9, we gave a ride to school to six little girls. Evidently a couple of families had pooled their donation to purchase the ride,” said Fire Chief Kevin Tappe, left.
