Adeleine Hupy of Ridgefield graduated from Greens Farms Academy in Westport on June 4. Hupy was part of a 78-member class. She graduated with honors and will attend Belmont University in the fall.
Sarah Mickool, daughter of Kristina Mickool and David Mickool, is included on the Furman University dean’s list for the 2015 spring semester.
Brendan M. Reilly of Ridgefield graduated with a bachelor of applied health degree in biochemistry from Saint Anselm College in Manchester, N.H., on Sunday, May 17.
RHS graduate Andy Suslavich (Class of 2011) son of Lillian and Jim Suslavich of Still Hollow Place, graduated from Dartmouth College on June 14 with an bachelor’s degree in psychology and Middle Eastern studies. Suslavich’s studies included a term spent in Fez, Morocco, followed by travel throughout the region, during which he witnessed the Arab Spring uprisings in both Cairo and Istanbul. Suslavich also completed Dartmouth’s Tuck School’s Business Bridge Program for undergraduates. He will join DigitasLBi as a strategy analyst in its Boston headquarters in September, after hiking the John Muir Trail section of the Pacific Coast Trail over the summer.
The spring semester dean’s list at Bryant University includes the following Ridgefield residents: Brett R. Baker, a junior in finance; Andrew J. Franco, a sophomore in applied mathematics and statistics; and Christina P. Gramling, a sophomore in business administration.
The following new students from Ridgefield will attend Clarkson University as members of the Class of 2019: Zachary Everett Fogg, a graduate of Ridgefield High School, is majoring in mechanical engineering; Nicholas R Rogoff is majoring in environmental science and policy; Mason Siegel is majoring in engineering and management.
Jack Orzechowski of Ridgefield was named to the dean’s list at Georgetown University for the 2015 spring semester. He is a rising sophomore in the Walsh School of Foreign Service, and is studying international affairs.
Kristina Caravelli of Ridgefield is among the 542 students who earned dean’s list honors for the spring 2015 semester at Mount St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, Md. Caravelli is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Caravelli.
Jack Anderson of Ridgefield graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of arts degree in communication from Keene State College.
The following students from Ridgefield were named to the Bucknell University dean’s list for outstanding academic achievement during the 2015 spring semester: Rachel Greenberg and Kevin Quindlen.
Caroline Marie Joyner of Ridgefield graduated with honors from the Walnut Hill School for the Arts in Natick, Mass., on June 6. During her two years at Walnut Hill, she also studied violin at the New England Conservatory Preparatory School, where this past year she was the principal second violin in the Youth Philharmonic Orchestra. This summer, Caroline will tour with the YPO in Iceland, then spend four weeks in Washington, D.C., with the National Symphony Orchestra’s Summer Music Institute. In the fall, Caroline will begin the Cleveland Institute of Music’s dual-degree program with Case Western Reserve University: She will work toward bachelor’s degrees in violin performance and German studies.
Mattie Tucker Joyner of Ridgefield has completed two years of the bachelor of fine arts program in musical theater at the University of Oklahoma. In four semesters at Oklahoma, Mattie has been named to the dean’s list three times and the president’s list once. With Oklahoma University’s University Theatre, Mattie has had roles in productions of Carousel, Carrie: The Musical, and La Cage aux Folles. This summer, the 2013 Ridgefield High School graduate performs with the Broadway Rose Theatre Company in Portland, Ore.
Junius Brown, the son of Hilary and Junius Brown of Ridgefield, has been named to the dean’s list of Macalester College for academic achievement during the spring semester of the 2014-15 school year. A graduate of Ridgefield High School, Brown was a junior at Macalester last spring.
Andrew Chuma, a member of the Suffield Academy class of 2015 was named to the high honor roll for the spring term.
Tommy Franco, Ridgefield High School class of 2011, graduated from Roger Williams University this spring with a degree in mechanical engineering specialization. He has been accepted into the University of Cincinnati’s fall engineering program to pursue his master’s degree in aerospace engineering. He is the son of Thomas and Yvonne Franco of Ridgefield.
Carolyn R. Savoia of Ridgefield was named to the Wagner College dean’s list for the spring 2015 semester.
Christiana Elisabeth Galowski of Ridgefield graduated from Northfield Mount Hermon during the school’s 132nd commencement exercises on May 24.
Katherine L. Gross, daughter of Laura Fried and William Gross of Ridgefield, has been named to the dean’s list at Hamilton College for the 2015 spring semester. Gross, a rising senior majoring in economics, is a graduate of Ridgefield High School.
Riley Meachem, son of Mark and Heather Meachem of Barry Avenue, achieved dean’s high honors in his first semester at Connecticut College in New London.
The following Ridgefield residents graduated from Salve Regina University on Sunday, May 17: Alexandra Pavain graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of science in biology. Pavain is a member of Delta Epsilon Sigma national scholastic honor society for students of colleges and universities with a Catholic tradition. Giovanna Maiolo graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of science in special education. Maiolo received the Mary Green O’Connor Award in elementary education, and is a member of Delta Epsilon Sigma national scholastic honor society for students of colleges and universities with a Catholic tradition. She’s also a member of Sigma Phi Sigma national honor society established by the Religious Sisters of Mercy.
