Troop 76 recognized Brian Johnson at a recent Court of Honor for achieving the rank of Eagle Scout.
Eagle is Boy Scouts’ highest — a rank achieved by only 4% of boys in Scouting.
To earn Eagle, in addition to years of work progressing through multiple ranks, Brian had to envision, plan and execute a community service project.
In his case, his project was at Jesse Lee United Methodist Church, where he planned, organized and managed the construction of planting beds behind Wesley Hall. The beds were designed to produce vegetables and flowers for the school at the church as well as provide students the opportunity to have hands-on experience with basic plant care.
Brian has been in Troop 76’s 684th Eagle Scout since 1981.
