Marilyn Maltas, 70, had cleaning business

Marilyn Maltas, 70, of Redding died on May 21.

She and her husband, Brian Maltas, were the owners of Frances Cleaners of Ridgefield. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church and the Ridgefield Women’s Golf Club.

Ms. Maltas was born on July 8, 1944, in Danbury. She was a daughter of Arthur and Frances (Zandri) Strouse.

In addition to her husband of 52 years, Ms. Maltas is survived by two sons, Scott and his significant other, Danielle, and Richard and his wife, Molly, by one grandson, Devin, and by two puppies, Mindy and Azaria.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Maltas was predeceased by a son, Brian Joseph.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 29, at 10:15 a.m. at St. Mary Church, 55 Catoonah Street. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.

Kane Funeral Home, Ridgefield, is in charge of arrangements.
