The Ridgefield Visiting Nurse Association presents the second in a free, six-lecture series featuring topics of interest to senior citizens and their families on Wednesday, May 27. The topic of the evening is driving, aging, and dementia.
Presenter Mary Underwood is vice president of Memory Care and Resident Experience at Maplewood Senior Living. Underwood will discuss how to assess a loved one’s driving ability, the changes that occur during the normal aging process, considerations for making the decision to stop driving, and some potential solutions to the problem of an unsafe driver. This presentation, and all of the upcoming Spring Education Series, will be held at the RVNA office, located at 90 East Ridge in downtown Ridgefield.
