Mary Elizabeth “Lilibet” Snellings, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Ross Snellings Jr. of Ridgefield, was married to Peter Kimball Kyte, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Joseph Kyte of Kansas City, Mo., on Feb. 17.
The Rev. Stephen McWhorter officiated at The Cloister in Sea Island, Ga.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an ivory silk mikado and organza gown by Carolina Herrera and carried a bouquet of calla lilies.
The bride graduated from Ridgefield High School in 2000 and from the University of Colorado in 2004. She received a master of fine arts degree from the University of Southern California in 2012 and is a freelance writer. Her first book, a collection of essays, will be published by Soft Skull Press in the winter of 2014.
The groom is a 2000 graduate of Phillips Exeter Academy and a 2004 graduate of Colgate University. He is the principal of The Roanoke Group, a private investment real estate firm.
William Kyte, the father of the groom, served as best man. Of the bride’s attendants, four were 2000 Ridgefield High School graduates: Kelleigh Crystal Browd, Veronica McAuley, Jan Faraguna and Melissa Fortunato.
After the wedding, the couple honeymooned in St. Barths. They live in Chicago, Ill., and Los Angeles, Calif.
