If you like cocktails, brunch, yoga — or just good people — Cafe Ruche has something special in-store this weekend, beginning Friday, May 1.
To celebrate the opening of its new outdoor patio at 101 Old Ridgefield Road in Wilton, the European-style cafe is hosting events from Friday to Sunday.
“If you haven’t already met us, this is a great way to see all the things we do,” said owner Barbara Chopin on Monday, April 27.
The festivities begin Friday, when the outdoor patio will be opened for lunch. By dinner time, the cafe will be hosting a special happy hour event featuring signature cocktails, select wines, and the cafe’s beer list.
To end Friday, Cafe Ruche has hooked up with Ancona’s Wines and will present a Spring Delights Wine Tasting Dinner. Though this last event requires reservations, there are still spots available.
On Saturday, folks from the Illy coffee company will visit Cafe Ruche to present a new style of iced coffee, and the cafe’s yoga instructors will host a free, community-wide yoga class near the gazebo at Wilton Town Green.
“You’ll be able to see the full complement of offerings Cafe Ruche has,” Chopin said.
If you think you’ve already seen all Cafe Ruche has to offer, the owner says you might want to look again.
“We’re expanding our brunch menu and really putting our craft cocktails into place,” she said.
At the end of the weekend, the cafe will host a hike and yoga session at the new Norwalk River Valley Trail.
Led by two of the cafe’s instructors, a $10 donation to Wilton’s A Better Chance organization is suggested.
