The paintings of Ridgefield resident Joan Kendall are now on display through the end of April at Wooster Hollow Diner on Danbury Road.
Joan Kendall is a former teacher of the deaf and hearing impaired with a master’s degree from Boston University. Her life long love of art both influenced and enhanced her career as a teacher. In a time when such teaching materials were not readily available, she produced hundreds of charts using drawings and print to teach language to deaf children. Her artistic journey began with water color painting but over time she gravitated to oil.
