Ridgefield High School seniors will have the opportunity to apply on site, at RHS, to Western Connecticut State University on Nov. 20 at 9 a.m. and Post University on Oct. 21 at 11 a.m. Admission decisions will be made on the spot when students bring official copies of the following documents on the day of the meeting:

WestConn: SAT 1 or ACT scores; official high school transcript; first quarter grades; a personal essay. In addition, students must have an average SAT score of 1,000 on reading and math and a minimum GPA of 2.7. Applications to the college must be made two weeks prior to the meeting.

Post University: One letter of recommendation; personal statement is optional, but recommended. The recruiter will have paper applications available that may be filled out on the spot. Specifics regarding GPA and SAT scores were not requested but would probably be helpful, the high school said.
