Young Lions honored for service

Forty-six members of the Ridgefield chapter of Lion’s Heart, a teen community service organization, received presidential volunteer service awards at the recent Pride of the Lion awards night at East Ridge Middle School.

The award recognizes the valuable contributions of volunteers nationwide who are answering the president’s call to serve others through volunteer activities. As a certifying organization, Lion’s Heart verifies members’ service hours and distributes the award to qualifying volunteers. This years award winners are as follows:

Gold: Natalie Parker, Amber Raymond, Emma Jelkovich, Jack Pieterse, Matthew Bornstein, Ethan Hynes, and Shane Bowler.

Silver: Laura Spearman, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Chase Levesque, Jack Macmillan, Ian McGill, Michael Grevers, and William Hunter.

Bronze: Haele Ferguson, Nicolette Pavain, Lillian Whitmore, Katie Groves, Gemma Tebbutt, Paige Bernhardt, Rachel Blieden, Kacey McGerald, Nicholas Esemplare, Alex Fish, Jake Bernhardt, Patrick Budicini, Bryan Bunt, Brian Grevers, Harrison Levesque, Brendan Pallant, Jacob Bodner, Robbie Cohen, Zachary Esemplare, Peter Guasti, Theo Magill, Tommy Macmannis, William Coffin, Max gagnon, Paul Kim, Nick Hannah, Daniel Harrington, Justin Tebutt, Christopher Flynn, Thomas Groves, and Jake Walker.
