Soon after the successful State Championship BBQ Festival, the Ridgefield Rotary Club received the 2013-14 Osterman Award, which honors the best small club by Rotary District 7980, which represents 61 Rotary clubs throughout southern Connecticut. The award recognizes a Rotary Club and its members for distinguishing themselves with an outstanding yearlong record of service to the community following Rotary’s five Avenues of Service: Club, Vocational, Community, Youth and Young Adult, and International.
Since its start in 1941, the Ridgefield Rotary Club has accomplished many civic projects, including the Rotary Park Accessible Playground, an ongoing High School scholarship, Citizen of the Year, and sponsoring a Little League team and many other local organizations.
