William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty recently announced that Joe Monaco has joined the company as the new manager of its Ridgefield brokerage.

Mr. Monaco is licensed in Connecticut, New Jersey and New York, and has 31 years of experience in residential real estate sales.

Mr. Monaco most recently served as regional vice president for Better Homes and Gardens Rand Realty in Westchester County, N.Y., where he oversaw operations for a nine-office region as well as a 90-agent office.

He has also served as branch manager for several regional offices with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, which honored him as a top-producing manager with its President’s Circle and President’s Council awards. His successes there included leading the company’s Yorktown Heights, N.Y., office to a No. 1 market share position, consistently maintaining that same office’s rank as one of the top 10 offices in the region, growing the small White Plains, N.Y., office into a top office in Westchester County, and returning the Stamford office to profitability.

“Joe Monaco’s track record is impeccable. A dynamic and creative sales management strategist, he has earned a reputation for increasing production levels and catapulting offices to the No. 1 position in their markets,” said Paul Breunich, president and chief executive officer of William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty. “He also focuses on helping each sales associate become as successful as possible, offering hands-on support with personalized coaching and mentoring.”

The previous manager of the firm’s Ridgefield office, Tony Cologero, recently accepted a management position with Premier Sotheby’s International Realty in Florida. Cologero was with the company for 18 years, including 12 as a manager, and grew the firm’s Wilton and Ridgefield offices.

“I want to thank Tony for his hard work and outstanding leadership over the years,” said Breunich. “He has proven a great asset to our company, and I wish him the best on his new journey.”
