A water main break on Route 35 near the Rec Center has caused some traffic on the busy road and caused the Rec Center to be shut down, police report.
The main break was first reported as being at the end of the driveway around 10:45 a.m. Tuesday and then later reported as being in the middle of the road with a “high volume” leak.
A water main has reportedly broken along the rec center driveway.

Aquarion arrived on the scene at around 11:35.
The Rec Center is expected to remain closed for the rest of the day.
Drivers would be wise to avoid the area for a while. Work could take several hours. Traffic was heavily backed up around noon and the northbound lane was reportedly being opened up at around 12:07.
At around 12:14 the fire police were dispatched to assist with traffic in the area.
