State Reps John Frey and Jan Geigler recently welcomed Girl Scouts from Ridgefield Troop 50356 to the Capitol as part of the annual Girl Scout Day events there.
About 400 Scouts and their leaders visited the Capitol to meet with legislators.
Troop members Cecilie Johnsrud, 12, Sarah Tewes, 12, Lauren and Alyssa Maiolo, both 13, and Gabby Mignano, 12, spent part of the day in the Hall of the House with Mr. Frey and Ms. Giegler, and saw them in action during a busy legislative session day.
“It was great to see the Girl Scouts at the Capitol today — it’s always a pleasure to get visits from town,” Mr. Frey said. “The girls were savvy and incredibly smart, and were eager to learn about the legislative process. I know how scouting helps these girls grow and become empowered, and I can definitely tell these girls will go far.”
