Mother and daughter team Laura and Adrianna Davis of Rowland Lane used the recent snow days to start a business. They decided to learn how to design a Web page and start an online consignment shop called thestagingroom.com.
They two said it all started when 14-year-old East Ridge eighth grader Adrianna wanted to redecorate her bedroom but her mother didn’t have the extra money to purchase the new items, so they went through their house and contacted family and friends for home goods that were no longer wanted. They had fun putting items together to “stage rooms,” so they started their business, thestagingroom.com. The money earned will be divided among spending money, charity and college fund.
