The National Charity League, Nutmeg Chapter, is looking for mothers and seventh grade daughters who may be interested in joining the organization. An information meeting is planned for Tuesday, Feb. 25, from 7 to 8 p.m. at Keeler Tavern Garden Room, 132 Main Street.
Memberships start in April. Mothers of seventh through ninth grade daughters are also welcome, although membership opportunities are not guaranteed for those grades.
The Nutmeg Chapter is “dedicated to the development of its members as strong community leaders and consistently seeks to improve local communities through hands-on service.”
NCL Nutmeg is a certifying organization for the Presidential Volunteer Service Award, which is open to all members of the chapter.
