Thanks to a grant of $7,500 from the Fairfield County Community Foundation, Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra musicians will be presenting concerts this spring at Founders Hall, Meadow Ridge and Ballard Green during the day.

The Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra has offered pre-concert lectures at senior locations for many years at Founders Hall and Meadow Ridge senior community.

“We’ve been trying for years to bring music to our seniors where they live and gather. With the help of the Fairfield County Community Foundation, our seniors can enjoy what the orchestra has to offer,” said Gina Wilson, executive director of the RSO. “A live performance at Meadow Ridge, Founders Hall and Ballard Green will mean the world to our seniors and to our musicians.”

The concert at Founders Hall will take place at 1 on Thursday, April 3. The concert at Meadow Ridge will take place on Friday, April 4, at 10:30 a.m. The public is invited to attend these free concerts. A concert at Ballard Green will be scheduled in the coming months.

The RSO has also received a grant of $1,000 from the Wadsworth Russell Lewis Trust Fund. Annual support from the fund has contributed to the RSO’s outreach program each year.

The Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra presents concerts throughout the season. For tickets and information, visit ridgefieldsymphony.org or call 203-438-3889.
