Contract Bridge classes start soon through Ridgefield Continuing Education.
Beginner Bridge (Thursdays, Feb. 27; March 6, 13, 20, 27 and April 3; Veterans Park School; $122) covers bidding and play basics and is for the total beginner. Beginning Bridge Continued is a follow up to the beginner class; newcomers with some experience are welcome (Mondays, Feb. 24; March 23, 10, 17 and 24; 7 to 9 p.m.; East Ridge Middle School; $105). Intermediate Bridge (Wednesdays, Feb. 26; March 5, 12, 19, 26 and April 2; 6:30 to 9 p.m.; East Ridge Middle School; $148) is for bridge players who want to achieve proficiency.
Instructor Dan de Vlieg is a regional bridge master who has played since age 19 and an experienced bridge teacher.
