Drink Pink, Think Pink will raise funds for cancer charities on Wednesday, Jan. 29, at the Ridgefield Playhouse — this is a change of date from the previously announced Jan. 15.

For four consecutive years, the Drink Pink, Think Pink event has been a way to honor the many faces of courage and raise awareness and funds to fight cancer.

“We don’t need to look far to know that we can provide sorely needed funds and support for cancer victims right in our community,” said Kerry Anne Ducey, president of Hamlet Hub, who launched the Drink Pink, Think Pink initiative four years ago. “Too many of our friends and family members have been afflicted with this disease.”

The evening begins at 6:30 with lobby festivities, including wine and cheese by No. 109 Cheese & Wine, hors d’oeuvres and pâtés from Bernard’s, All-Natural X-Rated Fusion Liqueur pink drinks courtesy of Campari America, makeup sessions by the pros at Adam Broderick Salon & Spa, a photo booth with wind fan courtesy of photographer Kristen Jensen, raffles and silent auction, plus a dynamic guest speaker.

Jude Callirgos, cancer survivor and author of Breast Left Unsaid, will speak at 7:30 p.m. A retired human resources executive, Ms. Callirgos spent the earlier part of her career as a producer and performer and is still a member of the Screen Actors Guild. Despite having advanced stage cancer herself, Ms. Callirgos intends to continue writing and advocating for a cure for all cancers. She lives in Redding, with her husband.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Ann’s Place and Danbury Hospital’s Breast Care Program.

For tickets at $25, call 203-438-5795 or order online at ridgefieldplayhouse.org.
