Award-winning cartoonist Rick Stromoski will give a cartooning workshop for children ages 6 and older on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Monday, Jan. 20.
The Ridgefield Library and the Parks and Recreation Center will sponsor the program from 11 to noon at the Recreation Center.
Mr. Stromoski is a comic illustrator of numerous children’s books. His greeting cards are best sellers and have won illustration awards. His comic book Soup to Nutz will be available for sale after the workshop. Children are asked to bring pencils and a drawing pad to try their hand at cartooning.
Because of the skills required for drawing, only children ages 6 and older may attend, accompanied by an adult. The program is free of charge with no registration required. For more information, see rickstromoski.com or call Children’s Services at 203-438-2282.
