3:05 — First Selectman Rudy Marconi has opened a warming center from 6 am to 10 pm daily at the Parks & Recreation Center, 195 Danbury Road, “Based on our past experiences, we have volunteers standing by in case we have to open up the warming center after hours (from 10pm to 6 am} to deal with people who lose heat due to extended utility outage or other event and will deal with those cases as they pop up,” said Dick Aarons, the town’s deputy emergency director.

8:50 — Motor Vehicles Department has cancelled all road tests for today.
5:20 — Another snow shower has coated roads. Town highway department being called in early.
5 a.m. — Schools will have an early dismissal today because of the “impending inclement weather.”

4:50 a.m. — With only a dusting of snow during the night, Ridgefield and area roads remain in decent condition this morning. Snow showers are possible during the day, but the real snow is due tonight when up to eight or more inches may fall. High winds and very cold temperatures are expected to create blizzard conditions overnight.
