The Ridgefield Music and Arts Center (RMAC) held its first meeting in the organization’s new home in St. Andrews Church last week.

The room was recently renovated, with a new stage, improved acoustics, new carpeting and flooring.

RMAC will be hosting regular open get-togethers each week, with high schoolers meeting on Wednesdays from 3 to 6 p.m. and middle schoolers every Friday from 3 to 6 p.m.

Refreshments will be available, and students may bring their instruments to rehearse, improvise, create art, or just gather with friends.

RMAC Program Director Jacquie Duke will be on hand for assistance.

Weekly sessions begin Sept. 11 for Ridgefield High School students and Sept. 13 for the middle schools.
