Kate Murdoch
Kate Murdoch, a 2006 Ridgefield High School graduate, is co-starring in a film, The Last Treasure Hunt, that she also wrote. It is her first feature as a writer and she stars alongside Casey Nelson (Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen), Jeff Grace (It’s a Disaster), Peter O’Connor (Public Morals), Sean Mahon (Philomena), Chuck Hoyes (Field of Dreams), and Kandis Erickson (Ray Donovan).
Murdoch was a captain of the RHS track team and a five time All-American. After graduating from Cornell University in 2010, she moved to Los Angeles, where she broke into the film industry. She currently splits her time between New York and California.
The film follows two siblings, Lucy (Murdoch) and Oliver (Nelson), as they return to their home on a small island to clean up the estate of their late father. Instead of a standard will, they are given the first clue to an elaborate treasure hunt, which forces them to solve a series of clues and riddles in order to receive their inheritance.
AMFM Magazine has named it their Indie Pick of the Week. It was shot in New London and Fishers Island, N.Y.
