New sessions of Tai Chi, Cardio, Line Dance, Yoga, and Pilates classes start soon in Ridgefield Continuing Education. New for spring is Lean Lines on Tuesday evening and Strengthen, Stretch and Tone on Thursday evening. These classes help develop core strength and flexibility, strengthen bone density, improve posture and balance, and meet fitness goals.
Evening classes starting soon include: Gentle Beginner Yoga (Thursday, April 7); Tai Chi (Wednesday, April 13, 6:40 p.m.); Body Precision (Tuesday, April 26, 6 p.m.); Lean Lines (Tuesday, April 26, 7:10 p.m.); Get Ready for Summer Workout (Thursday, April 28, 6 p.m.); Strengthen, Stretch, and Tone (Thursday, April 28, 6:15 p.m.), and Line Dance (Wednesday, May 4).
Morning classes starting soon include: Morning Kickstart Yoga with Miriam Zernis (Wednesday, April 13, 8:30 a.m.); Pilates with Frances Goulart (Tuesday, April 26, 8:30 a.m.); Yoga with Elin Waterston (Monday, May 2, 9 a.m.), and Qi Gong (Monday, May 2, 9 a.m.).
Classes meet five to eight sessions and cost $62 to $96. No classes April 18 through 22. Ridgefield senior (age 62 and older) or disabled discount available. Advance registration required. Bring a water bottle, blanket and mat. Information at ridgefieldschools.org or Peggy Bruno at 203-431-2812.
