George Bossis was recently appointed executive vice president of retail lending at Fairfield County Bank. Bossis will be responsible for the continuing development and growth of the residential and consumer lending business at the bank. He will oversee the sales force, processing, underwriting, and secondary market sales and servicing.

“George’s extensive experience within the mortgage industry and risk management demonstrates that he is well suited to create and implement new residential lending strategies and activities to support our continued growth as a leading residential lender,” said Dan Berta, president of the bank.

Before his appointment, Bossis served as Apple Bank’s senior vice president of residential lending. He previously held a position at Merrill Lynch as vice president of risk management.

Bossis is a graduate of the University at Albany, receiving a bachelor’s degree in economics, and earned his MBA in finance and investments from Baruch College. He is a member of the Hellenic American Bankers Association and is past president of the Mortgage Bankers Association of New York. He lives in Ridgefield with his wife and two sons.
