Mr. and Mrs. Grant Woof
The Ridgefield Guild of Artists will have an opening reception for Roy Weinstein’s show, Canine Characters, on Saturday, April 2, 4 to 6.
Weinstein, a fine art photographer, and collaborator Kenneth Kast, a special effects digital artist, have created artworks that are a twist on iconic works of art, from Grant Wood’s American Gothic cast as Mr. and Mrs. Grant Woof to the Mona Lisa reinterpreted as Mona Leash.
What started out as an art book project for kids evolved into a series of books, portraits and greeting cards.
The show, in the upstairs gallery at the guild, 34 Halpin Lane, runs from April 2 through May 1. More information, 203-438-8863 or rgoa.org.
