
Mia McGarrity was among the fourth and fifth graders at Barlow Mountain Elementary School taking part in Jump Rope for Heart on Feb. 9. Sixty-five students, teachers and staff took part, raising $2,930 for the American Heart Association. Throughout February, centered around Valentine’s Day, Shirley Hughes, physical education teacher, led discussions about the heart.
