Clik here to view. The town’s animal control officer had his hands full this morning after several reports of hounds running loose in the Barrack Hill Road area.
A Barrack Hill Road resident called The Press to report that 20-30 hunting dogs were loose in her neighborhood.
Drivers should be on the lookout, she said.
The town Facebook page has also posted reports of the dogs on the loose.
“He’s out there on the road right now,” a police dispatcher said of the animal control officer, who last had a call of loose hounds in 2011.
At that time, a pack of 40 barking hounds and a woman on horseback rode through town after a hunting event in North Salem, N.Y.
The lead dog apparently took off after a coyote and led the pack into Connecticut.
The post Hounds on the loose appeared first on The Ridgefield Press.
