Ridgefielder Kathryn Madaloni, a 12th grader at Wooster School, was the focus during student recognition at the school’s weekly Upper School assembly.
Upper School Dean of Students Hannah Reed said, “It takes a special person to be the senior in charge of the entire Lower School during Jobs. It’s a huge job area filled with a variety of challenges. This senior has done an excellent job of handling the challenge with poise and grace.
“A prefect wrote: ‘Whenever you go to her area you know she’s got things under complete control. It’s amazing how organized things are. She completely connects with her workers and shows initiative while working with them in a productive way.’
“She finds a way to facilitate challenging dialogue, and is a respectful listener, even when she doesn’t always agree with her conversation partners.
“At lunch, she maintains a commitment to sitting with underclassmen, getting to know new students, and reaching out to those who may need a spot.
She is the daughter of Stan Madaloni and Angela Whitford of Ridgefield.
